1. Recap of HTML Basics (5 minutes):

  • Quickly review key HTML concepts covered in the previous lesson to ensure a foundational understanding.
  • Emphasize the separation of content (HTML) and presentation (CSS).

2. Introduction to CSS (10 minutes):

  • Define what CSS is (Cascading Style Sheets) and its role in web development.
  • Explain how CSS is used to control the appearance of HTML elements.

3. CSS Syntax and Selectors (3 minutes):

  • Introduce the basic syntax of CSS rules:
  • Discuss different types of selectors (element selectors, class selectors, id selectors).
  • Explain the concept of cascading and specificity in CSS.

4. Common CSS Properties (2 minutes):

  • Cover common CSS properties such as color, font-family, font-size, margin, padding, border, and background.
  • Demonstrate how to apply these properties to HTML elements.
  • Encourage students to experiment with changing styles in real-time.

5. Box Model (5 minutes):

  • Explain the box model concept in CSS, which includes content, padding, border, and margin.
  • Discuss how to manipulate the box model to control the layout and spacing of elements.
