  1. Greet the students and introduce the topic of the day: Operating Systems.
  2. Ask students if they have ever heard of the term "Operating System" and what they think it means.
  3. Explain that today they will learn about what an operating system is and why it is important.

  1. Write "Operating System" on the board and ask students if they know what it means.
  2. Introduce the objective of the lesson and explain the important of understanding operating system in the context of computer science.
  3. Discuss the functions of an operating system:
    • Managing hardware resources (CPU, memory, storage)

  1. Introduce the two main types of operating systems:
    • Desktop operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux)
    • Mobile operating systems (e.g., Android, iOS)
