LESSON OUTCOME: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to understand the basic concepts behind web browsers and search engines,

and be able to use them effectively for their academic research.

Materials Required:

  • Whiteboard/Smartboard
  • Projector
  • Internet connection
  • Laptop or computer

Introduction (5 minutes)

  1. Welcome and introduce yourself
  2. Explain the objectives of the lesson
  3. Review any previous knowledge or concepts related to web browsers and search engines

Web Browsers (10 minutes)

  1. Define a web browser and its purpose
  2. Discuss the history of web browsers and their development
  3. Compare and contrast popular web browsers (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.)
  4. Demonstrate how to install and use a web browser

Search Engines (10 minutes)

  4. Demonstrate how to use a search engine to find information
