Unit: Communication, collaboration and media literacy                              Class: 3rd Semester

Teaching Item: Concept of media literacy for learner

1. Specific Objectives

At the completion of this lesson, students will be able:

·      To define media literacy,

·      To explain the different components of media literacy,

2.  Teaching Materials

Beside the daily use materials, I will use:

·      Laptop

·      Presentation Slide

3. Teaching Learning Activities

·       Begin the session with today's topic and objectives.

·       Explain definition of media literacy with the help of PowerPoint slides.

·       Then, I will discuss the different components of media literacy in detail by demonstrating PowerPoint slides.

·       After that, I will tell the example of media literacy which is used in our daily life activity.

·       At last, I will clarify the all confusion of students with the help of Q/A and Discussion method.

4.  Evaluation

           I will ask some random questions:

·      What is media literacy?

·      Tell any two components of media literacy.

5.  Homework

           Q.1 Define media literacy. Explain the different components of media literacy.
