Sub-topic: Digital Society, Digital Citizen and Digital Divide

Specific Objectives:

At the end of this topic the students will be able to:

a) Understand about the Digital Society and Digital Citizen.

b) Know about Digital Divide.

Teaching Materials:

Whiteboard, Marker, Book, Notes, Projector and Computer.

a) At first, I will revise the topic which was taught last day within five minutes.

b) Then I will start to explain about Digital Society and define in the following ways:

“A society in which everything runs on digital technology where paperless and electronic means are the norm.”

c) Later on, I will also tell about Digital Citizen in the following ways:

“A person who develops the skills and knowledge to effectively use the internet and digital technologies.”

d) At last, I will define Digital Divide in this way:

“It is a term that refers to the gap between communities that have access to ICT and who do not.”

e) I will also clear the doubt of the students if any.
