Lesson Plan 19

Subject: Computer Science Date: 2081/01/16
Class: 11 Period: 3rd
Topic: Information Security and Cyber Law Time: 45 minutes
Sub-topic: Computer Ethics and Information Security

Specific Objectives:

At the end of this topic the students will be able to:

a)  Understand about Computer Ethics and its commandments.

b)  Know about Information Security and its fundamental principles.

Teaching Materials:

Whiteboard, Marker, Book, Notes, Projector and Computer.

Teaching Learning Activities:

a)  At first, I will revise the topic which was taught last day within five minutes.

b)  Then I will define Computer Ethics as mentioned below:

“Computer Ethics is a set of moral principles that govern the behaviour of an individual or group of people.”

c)   Later on, I will also describe the commandments of computer ethics.

d)  Likewise, I will also tell about Information Security which is mentioned below:

“Information Security refers to the processes and methodologies which are designed and implemented to protect print, electronic, or any other form of confidential, private and sensitive information or data from unauthorized access, use, misuse, disclosure, destruction, modification, or disruption.”

e)  At last, I will mention and describe three principles of information security which are:

(i) Confidentiality         (ii) Integrity         (iii) Availability

f)     I will also clear the doubt of the students if any.

Evaluation:

a)   Tell anyone commandment of computer ethics.

b) Define information security.
