Specific Objectives:

At the end of this topic the students will be able to:

a)   Define system software with some examples.

b)   Classify different types of system software.

Teaching Materials:

Whiteboard, Marker, Book, Notes and Computer.

Teaching Learning Activities:

a)  At first, I will revise the topic which was taught last day within five minutes.

b)  Then I will define system software with few examples as mentioned below:

“System software are those software that helps to activate the computer system and provide operating environment for other application software is called system software. Example: Windows OS, MacOS, MS-DOS, etc.”

c)   After that I will explain the types of system software with simple definition and examples.

i.e. Operating System, Device Driver, Utility Software, Language Translator.

d)   I will also clear the doubt of the students if any.

Evaluation:

a)  Which operating system is the latest operating system developed by Windows?

b) Say any one utility software tool that you know.
