Specific Objectives:

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Understand the concept of the 2D and 3D viewing pipeline.
  • Differentiate between 2D and 3D transformations within the viewing pipeline.
  • Apply knowledge of the viewing pipeline to solve transformation problem.

Teaching Learning Activities

I will start the lesson by asking students what they know about previous topic. Encourage them to share their thoughts and experiences.

I will begin with a brief discussion on the importance of the viewing pipeline in computer graphics.

I will use presentation slides to explain the stages of the 2D and 3D viewing pipeline, including:

  • Model space
  • World space
  • Viewing transformation
  • Projection transformation
  • Screen space
  • Rasterization

I will demonstrate 2D and 3D transformations using graphics software or whiteboard diagrams.

I will ask students if they have any confusion related to today topic and at last i will summarize the lesson in brief.

Assessment

At the end of the lesson, students will be evaluated based on their understanding and application of the 2D and 3D viewing pipeline.

Evaluation

Explain the stages of the 2D and 3D viewing pipeline in computer graphics.

How does understanding this pipeline contribute to the creation of realistic computer-generated imagery?
