1. Specific Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Define Intellectual Property.
  • Define Copyright and Digital Signature.

2. Instructional Materials:

  • Daily usages materials.

3. Teaching Learning Activities:

  • Enter the classroom, and motivate students before starting the lesson for their concentration on the lesson, and then write today’s topic on the board.
  • Begin the class by understanding their opinion and knowledge about the topic.
  • After discussion I will define Intellectual property.

Intellectual property (IP) refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names and images used in commerce.

Examples of intellectual property rights includes:

  • Patents
  • Domain names
  • Industrial design
  • Confidential information
  • Inventions
  • Moral rights
  • Database rights
  • Works of authorship
  • Service marks
  • Logos
  • Trademarks
  • Design rights
  • Business or trade names
  • Commercial secrets
  • Computer software
  • After that I will explain copyright and rights related to copyright.

Copyright refers to the legal right of the owner of intellectual property. In simpler terms, copyright is the right to copy. This means that the original creators of products and anyone they give authorization to are the only ones with the exclusive right to reproduce the work.

  • After that I will define Digital Signature.

A digital signature is an electronic, encrypted, stamp of authentication on digital information such as email messages, macros, or electronic documents.

  • At last, Sum up the topic and let students ask questions about this lesson and response them.
