  • To understand the concepts of contiguous and non-contiguous memory allocation strategies.
  • To differentiate between the two strategies and identify their advantages and disadvantages.

  • Enter the classroom, motivate students before starting the lesson for their concentration on the lesson, and then write today's topic on the board.
  • Begin the class by asking some questions to students related to today's topic to check student's prior knowledge on the topic.
  • Open the presentation slide and briefly introduce the concept of memory allocation and its significance in operating systems.
  • Explain the two main strategies: contiguous and non-contiguous memory allocation, using visual aids and examples to make it easier for students to grasp the concepts.
  • Show differences between these two memory management approaches along with diagrammatic representation and differentiation chart.
  • Summarize the lesson in brief by pointing out key aspects of lesson.
