1. Specific Objective:

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Define the concept of swapping in memory management.
  • Explain how swapping works in an operating system.
  • Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of swapping.

  • I will enter the classroom and will motivate students before starting the lesson, encouraging them to focus and participate actively. Then, I will write today's topic "Swapping for Memory Management" on the board to give students an idea of what the lesson will cover.
  • I will begin the class by asking some questions to students related to today's topic to assess their prior knowledge and get them thinking about memory management and its techniques.
  • I will open the presentation slide and briefly introduce the topic of swapping in memory management. The presentation will cover:   - Definition of Swapping,   - How Swapping works in Operating System along with its diagrammatical representation,   - Advantages and Disadvantages of Swapping,
  • After covering the main points of the lesson, I will summarize the lesson in brief, highlighting the key takeaways and ensuring that students have grasped the main concepts of swapping in memory management.
