Teaching Topic: Symmetric Cryptosystems

At the end of the class, students will be able to:

  1. Use and apply symmetric cryptosystems
  2. Explain the terminologies related to symmetric cryptosystems.

Teaching Learning Activities:[edit | edit source]

I will do the following activities, after entering the class.

  1. I will tell them, if they have any confusion in previous class. If they have then I will revise at once. After then I will inform today's topic symmetric cryptosystems.
  2. I will ask question to students, What is symmetric cryptography? How does it work?, I will copy their statement in board.
  3. Then after I will start, first able I will define symmetric cryptography as single key use to share data, I will give an example of Gmail while sharing to data and I will explain it briefly.
  4. Then after I will describe AES and DES model and I will terminate the class.

  1. Define symmetric cryptography and give example.
  2. Write the types of symmetric cryptography.
