Super computer :- Biggest and fastest computer design to process huge amount of data. It can process
trillions of instruction in a second . It has thousands of interconnected processors. It
is used in scientific and engineering application .
Mainframe computers : It perform large-scale transaction processing (thousands of transactions per second) Support
thousands of users and application programs concurrently accessing numerous resources. Manage
terabytes of information in databases.
Workstation : Workstations are computers specifically designed and configured to meet power users' technical computing
requirements, including high performance, data integrity, reliability, and manageability .
Embedded Computer : An embedded computer/embedded PC is a dedicated computer system that forms an integral part of a
larger machine or system. In contrast to an ordinary desktop computer, an embedded computer is
generally designed or purposed for a single purpose.
Server : A server is a computer program or device that provides a service to another computer program and its user, also known
as the client. In a data center, the physical computer that a server program runs on is also frequently referred to as a
server.
ii) Discuss the scenarios where each type of computer is commonly used for eg : super computer in scientific research , servers in web
hosting, personal compute for everyday's task .
Iii) After completing all topics of it make them notify about the next topic . " Operating system".
