Overview of Operating Systems:

1. Definition and Purpose: Define what an operating system is and explain its primary purpose in a computer system.
2. Functions of an OS: Discuss the key functions of an operating system, including process management, memory management, file system management, and user interface.

Popular Operating Systems :

• Discuss about windows, redhat, Mac OS etc.

Hands-on Activity :

• If computers are available, provide a brief hands-on activity where students can explore the user interface of different operating systems.

Assessment:

• Assign a brief homework assignment to write a short paragraph about the operating system on their personal computers.
