1. Specific Objective: At the end of this lesson, students will be able: • To define the types of Operating System based on Mode of User, • To define the types of Operating System based on User Interface, 2. Instructional materials: • Daily uses materials • PowerPoint presentation slides 3. Teaching Learning Activities: • Tell the students about today's topic and objectives. • Illustrate about types of Operating System based on mode of user (Single User Operating System and multi-user operating system) and types of Operating System based on User Interface (CUI) and (GUI). • Encouraging students to ask questions or share their thoughts if they encounter any type of problem and confusions during explanation and demonstration of the topic. • Follow the discussion method for clearing doubt and enhance interactive learning environment, • Let students to ask questions about this lesson and response them. • End the session with very short summary of today's discussion. 4. Assessment: • What are basic difference between CUI and GUI? • Distinguish between single user and multi-user operating system? 5. Evaluation: What is operating system? Explain why GUI operating is more popular than text based (CUI) operating system?
