Topic; Exploring Operating System in the lab Time: 45minutes

Specific Objectives

At end of the lesson, student will be able to:

  • Start and Shut down a computer
  • Change the Desktop Background
  • Save the Screen Saver

Teaching Materials:

  • Computer lab with windows
  • Whiteboard and markers
  • Handouts with key instructions and tasks
  • Access to the internet for additional resources

Teaching Learning Method:

  • Briefly recap the basic concepts of operating systems discussed in previous classes.
  • Explain the purpose of the lab session: to gain practical experience with different operating systems.

Lab Exploration:

  • Start and Shout down Computer:
  1. Provide a quick overview of the desktop environment at each station.
  • Task Rotation
  1. Divide the lab time into short intervals (5-7 minutes each) and have students rotate to different stations.
  2. At each station, provide a specific task related to the operating system installed (Start and Shout down computer, Change the Background of Computer etc).
