1. Specific Objective:
At the end of this lesson, students will be able:
- To understand the concepts of contiguous and non-contiguous memory allocation strategies.
- To differentiate between the two strategies and identify their advantages and disadvantages.
2. Instructional materials:
- Daily Usage Materials,
- PowerPoint Presentation Slide,
- Laptop,
- Projector etc.
3. Teaching Learning Activities:
- Enter the classroom, motivate students before starting the lesson for their concentration on the lesson, and then write today's topic on the board.
- Begin the class by asking some questions to students related to today's topic to check student's prior knowledge on the topic.
- Open the presentation slide and briefly introduce the concept of memory allocation and its significance in operating systems.
- Explain the two main strategies: contiguous and non-contiguous memory allocation, using visual aids and examples to make it easier for students to grasp the concepts.
- Show differences between these two memory management approaches along with diagrammatic representation and differentiation chart.
- Summarize the lesson in brief by pointing out key aspects of lesson.
