Specific Objectives:

At the end of this topic the students will be able to:

a)   Define application software with some examples.

b)   Classify different types of application software.

Teaching Materials:

Whiteboard, Marker, Book, Notes and Computer.

Teaching Learning Activities:

a)  At first, I will revise the topic which was taught last day within five minutes.

b)  Then I will define application software with few examples as mentioned below:

“Application software are the program which is designed to solve the problem of specific user. Example: Word Processor, DBMS Software, Graphics Software, Accounting Software, etc.”

c)   After that I will explain the types of application software with simple definition and examples.

i.e. Packaged Software and Tailored Software

d)   I will also clear the doubt of the students if any.

Evaluation:

a)   Define packaged software.

b) Say any one tailored software name which you know.
