Introduction (5 minutes):
- Start the class with a brief discussion about the importance of software in computers.

Main Body (25 minutes):
1. System Software (10 minutes):
- Define system software and explain its primary function in managing and controlling computer hardware.
- Give examples of system software, such as operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and utility software (antivirus programs, disk management tools).
- Discuss how system software is essential for the overall functioning of a computer system.
2. Application Software (10 minutes):
- Define application software and highlight its role in performing specific tasks for the user.
- Provide examples of various types of application software, including word processors (Microsoft Word, Google Docs), spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets), multimedia software, and games.
- Emphasize that application software is designed to meet the needs and preferences of users.
