Teaching Topic: Introduction to cryptography

Period Duration: 50 min

Specific Objectives:

At the end of the class, students will be able to:

1. Define and understand the concept of cryptography.
2. Define and explain the terminologies related with cryptography

Teaching Materials:

Daily usage materials, Laptop, PowerPoint slide, Multimedia

Teaching Learning Activities:

I will do the following activities, after entering the class.

1. At the first phase, I will revise previous, if they have confusion. Then I will inform today's topic cryptography.
2. I will ask the meaning of cryptography. Then I will listen their view. Then after I will tell “kryptós” means hidden and “graphein” means write. I will provide example of digital signature, hashing, encrypting key.
3. After then, I will explain plain text and cipher text also. At end of the class, I will terminate.

Evaluation:

1. Password is an example of cryptography, yes or no?
2. Define cryptography with its utilization.
