Title: Understanding Intellectual Property Rights and Its Types

Objective:

     - introduce students to the concept of intellectual property rights (IPR) and its significance.
     - explain the different types of intellectual property rights.
     

Duration: 60 minutes

Lesson Outline:

1. Introduction to Intellectual Property Rights (15 minutes)

     - Define intellectual property (IP) and explain its importance in today's economy.
     - Discuss the purpose of intellectual property rights (IPR) in protecting creations of the mind.
     - Provide examples of intellectual property, such as inventions, artistic works, trademarks, and trade secrets.

2. Types of Intellectual Property Rights (25 minutes)

     - Present an overview of the main types of intellectual property rights:
     - Patents: Explain how patents protect inventions and innovations, including the requirements for patentability and the rights granted to patent 
                holders.
     - Trademarks: Define trademarks and discuss their role in identifying and distinguishing goods or services in the marketplace. Give examples of 
                famous trademarks.
     - Copyrights: Introduce copyrights as protections for original works of authorship, including literary, artistic, and musical works. Explain the 
                rights granted to copyright holders and the duration of copyright protection.
     - Trade Secrets: Describe trade secrets as confidential business information that provides a competitive advantage. Discuss the importance of       
                maintaining secrecy and the legal remedies for trade secret misappropriation.
     - Other Types (Optional): Depending on time and audience interest, briefly mention other types of intellectual property rights, such as industrial 
                designs, geographical indications, and plant variety rights.
