- Greet the students and introduce the topic of antivirus software.
- Discuss the importance of cybersecurity and protecting computers from online threats.
- Ask students if they have heard of antivirus software and what they think it does.
Main Lesson (25 minutes):
- Define Antivirus Software:
- Explain that antivirus software is a program designed to detect and remove malicious software, also known as malware, from computers.
- Discuss different types of malware such as viruses, worms, Trojans, ransomware, and spyware.
- Importance of Antivirus Software:
- Discuss the potential consequences of malware infections, such as data loss, identity theft, and system damage.
- Explain that antivirus software helps to protect computers from these threats by scanning for and removing malware.
- Basic Features of Antivirus Software:
- Discuss common features of antivirus software, such as real-time scanning, automatic updates, quarantine, and scheduled scans.
- Explain how real-time scanning works by continuously monitoring files and programs for malware.
Interactive Activity (10 minutes):
- Divide the students into small groups.
- Encourage groups to come up with creative solutions and share their ideas with the class.
Conclusion (5 minutes):
