Objective: By the end of this lesson student must learned about types of computer network.
Teaching material : White Board , Slide shows.
Teaching learning activities : Engagement: Begin by asking students about their understanding of what a computer network is. Encourage discussion and explanations.
a. Local Area Network (LAN): Explain LANs as networks within a limited area, like a home, office, or school.
b. Wide Area Network (WAN): Describe WANs as networks that cover a broader geographical area, often connecting multiple LANs. c.
c.Metropolitan Area Network (MAN): Briefly discuss MANs, which cover larger areas than LANs but smaller than WANs, typically within a city.
d. Personal Area Network (PAN): Explain PANs as networks for personal devices, like Bluetooth connections between a phone and a headset.
e. Wireless LAN (WLAN): Discuss WLANs as wireless versions of LANs, using Wi-Fi technology.
f. Client-Server Network: Explain the client-server model, where centralized servers provide resources to client devices.
g. Peer-to-Peer Network: Describe peer-to-peer networks where devices share resources equally without a centralized server.
After completing all topics make them notify about next topic which will learn tomorrow . "Computer security " .
