At the end of this lesson,student will be able to define component of computer.

  • White board and Marker
  • Laptop and Projector

Introduction( 2 minutes):[edit | edit source]

  • Ask Student what they already know about component of computer.
  • List their responses on the board to gauge the existing knowledge.
  • Briefly explain that the main component of basic structure of computer are CPU, Input Device, Memory, Storage, Output Devices.

Basic Components(2 minutes):[edit | edit source]

  • Central Processing Unit(CPU): The brain of computer.
  • Memory(RAM): Temporary Storage for data and programs.
  • Storage(Hard Drive/SSD): Permanent storage for files and programs.
  • Input Devices: Devices used to enter data.(eg : keyboard, mouse)
  • Output Devices: Devices that display or produce results(Eg: monitor, printer)

  • Demonstrate basic tasks like opening and closing applications.
  • Identifyand label the major component of a computer.
