Level: Bachelor 6th sem

Unit: Five

Time: 50 min

No. of Students: 21

Specific Objective

At the end of this lesson students will be able to:

  • understand the concepts of RGB, HSV, and CMYK color models
  • learn about the characteristics and properties of each color model
  • explore the applications of RGB, HSV, and CMYK color models in 3D graphics

Teaching Materials

  • Laptop
  • Presentation slide
  • Projector
  • Whiteboard and marker

Teaching Learning Activities

1. I will begin the class by defining color models as mathematical representations used to define and create colors.
2. Then discuss the importance of color models in 3D graphics for rendering realistic images.
3. Introduce RGB, HSV, and CMYK color models as common color representations in computer graphics.
4. Present the characteristics and properties of RGB, HSV, and CMYK color models, including color representation, and color mixing.
5. Discuss the advantages and limitations of each color model in different applications.
6. Ask students to experiment with different color transformations and observe the effects on the perceived colors.
7. Ask students if there is any confusion on today's topic and provide guidance and assistance if needed.

Assessment

1. Explain the concepts of RGB, HSV, and CMYK color models in 3D graphics.

2. Discuss the properties and characteristics of each color model.
