ED 541 Contemporary Educational Issues :
Course Description

This course aims to provide students with opportunities to identify explore and understand issues relevant to the school education in Nepal. The course enables the students to review the educational policies, research reports and theoretical literature and helps them draw theoretical/conceptual concepts related to the issues. This course also helps students directly link their knowledge with the current practices in the educational sector. The course allows students to write and present comprehensive seminar paper based on the analysis of the selected educational issues comparing, relating and drawing upon the theoretical perspectives, policy provisions and research findings.

ED 542 Teaching Practice
Course Description

This course is designed to provide hands-on experiences to the students in the area of their profession for enabling them to be better teachers/professionals. It creates enabling conditions to the students for bringing professionalism through rigorous practice. The students will gain professional experiences in campus and in cooperating schools or campuses under the close supervision of faculty members of concerned campus/college. In this course, students undertake six major activities in sequential phases:
i. orientation of practice teaching;
ii. development of observation guidelines and observation of teaching of school/campus teachers;
iii. experience sharing among the students;
iv. on-campus micro-teaching; v. teaching at school/campus; and
vi. seminar on reflection of their teaching performance.

ICTED 546 Network and System Administration (Elective)
Course Description

This course aims at providing a skills to the student to install, configure, and troubleshoot a computer network and system administration. The course will provide skill to the students to the different tools and technology such as server installation and configuration, IP, DHCP, Name Server, DNS, Web server, proxy server, file, print and mail server configuration and troubleshooting.

ICTED 547 Advanced Web Technology (Elective)
Course Description

This course aims at providinga skills to the student to development of modern web application and gain a broad understanding of the Web Technology.This course focuses on the development of dynamic web contents and applications to facilitate information distribution. The course will initiate students to the different web development tools and technology such as HTML5, CSS, Java Script, JQuery, Ajax,XML, PHP-MySQL and open sources web development frameworks.
